FRONT PORCH

     The front porch of the General Store (or around the pot belly stove in the colder months) used to be the gathering place to share information, pick up some advice from an oldtimer, or pass on a few words of encouragement to fellow pioneers, homesteaders, and frontier folk from around the area. In our fast-paced lifestyle we seem to have lost that sense of community, and along with it, much of the know-how necessary for a simple and self sufficient life.

     So whether you're looking for a tasty recipe, have a question about sheep, or you've just solved blossom-end-rot with your tomatoes, then pull up the empty rocking chair or throw another log in the stove and "chew the fat" with some old (or new) friends.
